In this article I want to share with you frequently ask questions by tourists and my answers to them shortly. - Why should I travel to Turkey? Turkey is one of the top visited travel destinations all around the world, especially in Europe. Welcoming more than 18 million visitors every year. It s beautiful, culturally rich and friendly. Good hospitality, good value for money. It s modern enough to be comfortable. Traditional and historical enough to be interesting… - When is the best time to go? 1. Spring is best time (April, May, June). Because the weather is moderate, the days are long and the tourist crowd isn t begin. April can be rainy. 2. Second one is autumn (September, October, November). Mostly mild weather, but the days are shorter than spring. Rain may begin in October. 3. Summer is quite hot (July, August). Usually rainless, cool inland in the evenings. 4. November through March (winter) weather is mostly rainy and then snowy except the south. Prices are lower, tourists are fewer than the other seasons. - I don t speak Turkish. How will I communicate? In Turkey all students in schools study English. Also taught German, French, Italian etc. depends school. In tourist areas, almost every tourism personnel know English. Then German, Japanies, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Greek, Finnish, .. whatever language. Mostly you can find tour operator and guide speaks in your language. You could find and buy electronic translator (Turkish Language Teacher) if you need… - What is the costs? Can I afford it? In Europe, Turkey is among the cheaper countries but offers better value for money. In July and August travel costs are highest at Turkish beach resorts and some big cities like Istanbul. Lowest in the small towns of eastern Turkey, and off-season (November through March) For per-person, per day - two people traveling together (sharing one room etc.) - transportations three meals (If you are traveling alone, expect 25-35% more) LOWEST BUDGET (daily): 30-40 EURO / 35-45 USD Staying in pensions with breakfast included, eating one picnic and restaurant meal daily and traveling by bus. LOW BUDGET (daily): 40-55 EURO / 45-65 USD Staying in 1-2 star hotels with private baths and breakfast included. Eating most meals in average restaurants. Traveling more comfortably by bus. MODERATE BUDGET (daily): 55-80 EURO / 65-95 USD Staying in 3 star hotels, dining in restaurants all time, traveling bus, low-fare airline flights, an occasional car rental. HIGH BUDGET (daily): 80-140 EURO / 95-165USD Comfort Class. Staying in 4- star hotels, dining at quite good restaurants, traveling by air and best bus, rental car. HIGHEST BUDGET (daily): 140-420 EURO / 165-500USD Delux. Staying at the top luxury hotels, dining regally at the best restaurants, getting around by plane, chauffeur-driven rental car and the occasional hot-air baloon flight or private yacht cruise.
